About Laura
I’m a Registered Nutritionist, published author, podcast host and public speaker on nutrition and public health.
With my academic research background, I love conducting evidence-based reviews, interpreting nutritional data and communicating complex science into clear practical messages. I’ve experience working with the media, having provided advice for the BBC and industry publications, and featuring on BBC2’s The Food Detectives. Making science accessible to different audiences is key, which is one of the reasons I love working with organisations sharing public health nutrition messages.
I help individuals and workplaces understand nutrition better and develop healthy eating habits, through online consultations, courses and workplace wellness talks. Supporting women navigate the challenges of menopause is an area I’m particularly passionate about.

Why choose an AfN Registered Nutritionist?
It is important to check qualifications when choosing a nutritionist. The Association for Nutrition (AfN) is the independent regulator for Registered Nutritionists. Their role is to protect and benefit the public.
A Registered Nutritionist will be found on the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists. To be listed on the Register a person must be a competent, qualified nutrition professional who meets rigorous standards of competence and professionalism.
The UKVRN is the only Register of qualified nutritionists recognised by Public Health England, NHS Choices and NHS Careers. Search the Register here.
